Everybody blanks Joanne

BHUTAN!

Jussttt Kiddin'

Theres this epidsode of Everybody Loves Raymond in which, ironically, a man doesn't like him.
I know this doesn't sound like a promisingly entertaining blog because no one really watches ELR anymore cos its Gossip Girl this and Vampire Diaries that, but I'm attempting to seek a source of comfort from this episode.

See, Raymond is so used to people enjoying his company that he can't stand it when someone decides that he's a douche.

If I were to choose the single most hated trait of my own it would be caring about what others thought of me. I'm not as pedantic and paranoid as I used to be, trying to control everyone's opinion of me, but I'll admit, it still stings when you come to find that someone doesn't like you all that much for no apparent reason.

Last year made me a much happier person than I've ever been but even with my new found outlook on everything, I still turn red at the thought that someone just doesn't like me.

In the episode where Raymond spends his time trying to win the respect of this man, he is eventually saved by his brother who defends the bejesus out of him. I just hope that if my friends were ever in a situation where they could, they'd defend me too.

Some traits die hard, well at least harder than others. BUT i suppose the new year is an oppurtunity to turn over a new leaf and work at it.

CHRISTMUKKAHS HERE

Joyeux Noël !

Most supportive sister ever!

To all my beautiful year 12's, we've finally seen the light to the long-ass tunnel. Though for some the light may not have been as bright as you had anticipated, it is still an accomplishment that no one can take away from you.

To the poor asian kids like me whose parents will never be satisfied, im here for ya brutha.
I at least have beautiful sisters that support me.

Yesterday I hosted my first Christmukkah dinner! On the menu - Bruschetta, Chicken Roast, Lemon Meringue and lots more. Good food, good people and boy did we bring tidings. (Photos will be up next blog!)

I hope you've all gotten well and truly into the festive season. If not then... HURRY THE $%#@ UP.

Good luck to everyone arranging and rearranging your preferences. Keep your hopes up and think.... What would Jebus Do.

FROHE WEIHNACHTEN!

Merry Christmas says the German.

So I'm sitting here in my uniform for the last time, trying not to crinkle it.
Its graduation tonight and i'm sweating like pedo around a little girl.

Soppy moments aside, ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS!
And i havn't found an advent calandar yet. I've looked very hard but nothing seems christmas worthy. But i look on the brightside and tell myself that it just means I can have the chocolates from the days I've missed. BONUS!

I went nuts shopping for christmas decorations. I even bought a little santa outfit for Champagne bottles. Ridiculously cute.

Well I better go stick the old badges onto the blazer. Heres a suggestion from yours truly: change your bed sheets, take a long shower and hop in with a sudoku with a christmas album playing in the background. Best sleep you'll ever have.
Be Merry.

DEATH BY EXAMS

HOPI!

ALL of my VCE exam cards :)

Hello hello!
Guess whos back from academic hell!
Yes I can say that I have completed 13 years of education and I can officially do what I like (given my asian dad approves).

I'm not quite sure who reads my posts anymore considering tumblr is the new place to be with its missing vowel and shiz BUT nonetheless I will continue to provide you with my incessant rambles throughout this summer :)

Sooooooo my holidays have begun and all I've really done is watch what I eat, go to the gym and youtubbbbbbeeeee. I've come to realise that the harder you try not to think about food the more difficult it gets. So don't do what I'm doing unless you have a formal coming up, for which I have two!

There was a strange lack of pedos at my gym today and a surprisingly good sprout of sexy asian body builders 8) I ain't complainin'.

I've just been trying to learn some stuff on the ukulele so I can whip it out at the beach and show everyone how skilled I am in the uke-ing department.

Exaggerated description of my life in order to make up for the lack of entertainment provided on this blog since entering year 12.

Heyhello.

Remember me? I used to blog. Yeah.
So you're thinking "Whhhhhat a slag, she's neglected the cyber-universe".
Nooooo! I still read my emails. Too bad no body does anything via email anymore. Its like emails the new snail mail. Jesus. Well the reason I haven't blogged is because there is nothing to blog about. Seriously. Want to know the schedule?

Wake up.
Put my hair in a convenient bun.
Eat a convenient breakfast.
Get yelled at for being late.
Sus out how gross the common room is today.
Make a tea.
Spend the day trying to stay awake.
Come home.
Eat the house.
Homework.
Bed.

Then the vicious cycle continues. Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I'll shove T.V in there.
I've become unacceptably ugly over the past few months. I have this disgrace of a hair-do, my face is adorned with zits, I've probably gained a scary amount of weight and I have not touched base with the fashion department of my life in a long time. I've found myself repeating outfits...yep...WHAT THE HEY.

So if you see me on the street, give me a little hug if you're not scared of catching fugly.

Karate Phone

NAHUATLE!

The real things charging 8D

Yesterday I caught up with my gorgeous friend Andrew and we watched "Get Him to the Greek"! Jolly good movie twas - I give it 3 1/2 stars. Hangover style funny. Lots of references to drugs and anus :)

I came home and worked a little on my folio while watching "Pretty Woman". It is only in these instances I wish I had a head full of red hair.

Today was jam packed. I made a video for my loverly friend Lee who turned 19 yesterday! Theeen I bought a new phone! Its the 6760 and I'm very proud of my new baby!

After that I spoiled my nephews at the movies where we watched "THE KARATE KID". Now that is a bloody good movie. I give it a 4 1/2. I'm getting my kids into that shiz! But the whole time my nephews thought Jayden Smith was a girl. If you ask me he's going to grow up to be mighty finnneee.

If I was like ten and lived in China, I would definitely get jiggy with some of those Karate boys.

So it was a pretty dang big weekend what with my beautiful friend Cherleen turning 18 and all

This is us after Nam and I made her cry with our song NAWW
I dare say she looked like a queen that night and that I am profoundly honoured to have been apart of it all and to say that she is one of my bestest friends!

Yesterday I went "ice" skating at QV. I highly recommend none of you follow in my footsteps - literally. I made an epic fall and retarded my back which made today's production's rehearsals an extremely uncomfortable experience >:|

Not so gracefully playing tiggy

But I must say, I havn't fallen (physically) for a really long time. It felt good to just stack it y'know! But the surface was like a plastic chopping board with oily stuff on it so I hit hard!

I've been doing a bit of reminiscing the past few days and its made me a bit sad to think how the years going to end. But enough of that...time for my:

SALUTON!

Not so bleck for a change.

I really should be doing work but I just had to mention my little love in life today

I love it when you have a row of people with tilted heads trying to read the titles on Borders' bookshelves.

I'll be doing Little Loves In Life more often - short and sweet.
I'll get more pictures in too.

P.S. - I'm in love with the Borders boy who served me today ;) I'll be there more often I believe.

Ghosts of Aths

Ink's still fa-reshh

ALLO ALLO

So i really shouldn't be blogging considering I have a million and one things to do considering its Mummia Day tomorrow and I've got a pile of HW buttttttttt I thought I should

Today I made my way to the city and since the train stopped at Flinders I decided to walk to MC and enjoy the sunshine. Waiting to cross at the traffic lights, I realised just how hard it is to stand out in Melbourne. Everyone is freaky as sh*t.
I then spent about an hour selecting loose leaf paper from Officeworks.
I made ym way to state and studied with good old Becker until we got tired then bought mum cupcakes.

REWINDDDD

Yesterday was my last Athletics carnival and it was really worth it :) Me and the girls went as 'pastel' ghosts and it turned out to be, by and large, the best aths day ever. Even though I've become relatively weaker this year with the whole blood thing, I did a crap load of running (almost passing out because we didn't make nostril holes).

I've never been so proud of all my girls (yeah yeah soppy captain talk) and its making thinking about the end of this year all the harder.

Special mention to the Ghosts

Doubled as my breathing hole

Thanks to my class of 2010 for making it such a damn good day (L)(L)(L)

Mr. Pigeon 8-)

SALUTON!

Deer caught in headlights if there was one.

Hello my fury friends!
I just couldn't resist writing a blog about today. For the first time in gosh knows when, I had a worry free- birds chirping- green grass day.
Actually there were a few *gasp* moments and they were really pigeons and the grass was fake.
But the sun shone and it was beautiful.

I started off with double Bio which would have been a total drag if we hadn't celebrated our teacher's birthday with a big muffin (which almost made her cry because she loved us more than any class since 1993) and we learnt about plant hormones which was fun :)

We cruised through methods and then I spent my free period at an outside table doing productive homework with my best hens near the sun. I also sang quite loudly and pondered the endless ways I could eat this cute fat pigeon (AZN PRIDE YO).

Lunch came about and Taylor ask me whether I'd rather sew my eyes together or lick manure. I'll may have left that unanswered.
Another free was spent riding a rollercoaster on a macbook and then I cruised through Psych.

I wish more days like this existed. Though I am glad to be living proof there that Year 12 isn't a TOTAL puddle of boogery poo.
The only crap part was not having a camera to capture all these moments for hard evidence!

Stupid wabbut.

Namaskar.

Ergh.

Above, you can find an elaborate description of how I am feeling after my first methods SAC.

I'm watching Sherry Bobbins on the Simpsons and not even that's cheering me up. I really need to do something fun this weekend. Any suggestions? I hear Kick Ass is a kick ass movie.

One thing that might cheer me up is Glee on at 8pm. All you Gleeks don't forget! Then again, if you were a true Gleek you wouldn't need the reminder :)

Hopefully I'll do a bit better tomorrow in my Tech allowed part of my test.
I took the oppurtunity to sleep and watch TV tonight considering I literally (not literally) studied my ass off for the past week.

This + a shitload of unnecessary drama are the main reasons I really havn't been blogging.

I thought bitching and friendship problems would come to a halt in year 12, but oh how wrong I was. I love my school and all, but sometimes, too many girls in one space becomes a bloody warzone.

Plus my bunny ran away. COULD I FEEL MORE UNLOVED?

Sorry for the Soap Opera report. I actually love you guys.
Watch this space for a good blog sometime soon.

Lurve bug

MINGALARBA!

5 hours left.
My sister has given me the password to my account so I really could just enter now. But no, I've come this far. I can almost taste the homepage.

For those who have opened this blog and questioned my normalness (a word I probably just made up myself), I've given up Facebook for Lent. Lent ends in precisely five hours. That means I have not checked my Facebook for 46 days (including the Sundays which Christian people don't). My test of strength has really been.....a bitch. I also gave up Youtube and MSN. I don't care very much for MSN but Youtube has been like the sister I never had. (Apologies to my two sisters).
Today was just average. I hit the gym after watching the Jonas Brothers and then went shopping wif ma sistaaaaa (that ghetto-ness was so unnecessary, I'm sorry).
I hate to say it, I really do - but I think I'm inlove with Nick Jonas. He's really quite gorgeous but it scares me to think that I have the same taste as Miley Cyrus. Pssh.

I'll share some goodness with you ...

Chubby asian babies

KAIXO!

What an attractive bunch we have in the Tran family.

I saw the most beautiful asian couple at Savers the other day. They popped into my head just then for some odd reason. But when I was rummaging through the books I saw them in the other isle. The young woman had a short bob cut and cute floral slacks with leather shoes and the guy had a little green sweater and a candy striped collar. He was holding a little chubby asian baby girl. I just thought to myself, I so hope to have chubby asian babies and shop at opp shops with my vintage-styled hubby. I just thought I'd share that irrelevant observation with you.

I spent a good part of last night searching for my future car. I bet you're thinking "HER PARENTS ARE GONNA GET HER A CAR!". Nuh-uh, but bless your soul for thinking me so lucky. No, I've just always wanted a big Jeep but I never really knew which model it was that I wanted. So I went Jeep hunting! And look what I found :D

Come to mumma.

Thats right, can you imagine me in this baby? I'd look like even more of a midget but frankly, I couldn't care less. Yellow or black would suffice. Hint Hint *birthday's second of June :)

Come here chocolate bunny ;P

MAMBO!

Hey bloggers!
So lately I've really been craving to go on Facebook and Youtube. I see the pages pop into my head, yearning for a status update. BUT I CAN'T. Two more days left.

I suppose that it isn't quite a "fast" if there isn't any temptation. Instead I've been indulging in all the chocolate around me, then going for runs to work it off. :|
On a lighter note, IM NOT CAPPED ANYMORE! How did I get capped if I don't use the internet? Well my six year old nephew discovered the beauty of Google and Youtube himself, so he's been looking up dinosaur related items on the interweb. What a pain.

I went to Savers the other day to find a costume for a party I attended recently, but I got distracted by all the childrens books. I bought The Adventures of Barbie, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin in Little Golden Book form. TOTALLYYYY NOSTALGIC STUFF. I also bought 'Matilda' on tape. But funnily enough...I got home...put it into the VCR...and realised it was 'Liar Liar'. Oh the joys of thrifty shopping (SENSE THE SARCASM. SENSE THE DAMN SARCASM).

Treasures

HAAI!

As the holidays near, infact its only hours away, I've begun to be more thankful for everything I have. Starting to sound like a soppy speech eh? WELL YOU ALREADY STARTED SO PLEASE CONTINUE. Yes, its wrong time of the year Joanne, where's the turkey, where's the cranberry? But seriously, I often catch public transport on my own and with the soundtrack of my life blasting through my headphones, I can't help but think how well off I am.

I don't really need to go into too much detail because you all know what you should be grateful for. What I'm trying to say is I'm not butt naked on the street, I have handfuls of friends and I'm not totally daft (touch wood). My school is more than a school, its a second home...but in this home I have 600 other little sisters and 20 other mums. Hopefully my good-feel blog is contagious and you all go give your friends and family a big hug when you read this.

I'm about to go all the way back to school for parent teacher interviews and I'm a little nervous. Hopefully teachers aren't as ruthless as they threaten to be.

8 More days until I can go back to my beloved facebook!

Angsty Bus Drivers

Jum Reap Sour!

Ma nephew.

Currently listening to : Love Lost - Temper Trap

Alo alo!
Today i had tutor all the way in Springvale. Yep, I have to travel an awful distance to get there but I suppose, to an extent, its worth it. There are lots of good-looking people in my class which is why I like to sit toward the front. This way I'm not distracted by the Korean-super-star-look-alike mathematicians.

Waiting patiently at the bus stop, I enjoyed the silence of Footscray on a Sunday afternoon. All the creeps shy away from the sunny weather I guess.
When the driver pulled up, I got out my ticket. Ready to board I was abruptly shut out. He closed the m'f' door on me, acknowledged my incredulous expression then departed swiftly.

If that isn't a case of Man-o-pause i don't know what is.

This left me embarrassed and slightly flushed.
What gives bus drivers the idea that they can ignore patient commuters and depart early? Well I suppose the fact that THEIR hands are on the steering wheel and not mine- but regardless...THIS IS BULLSHIT.
And it was Sunday timetables too so I had to wait for ages for the tram. Rah!

Anyhoo, I've been getting some ideas for the school as Captain. Can't wait to bring them to the team :)

L to the E to the N to the T

HEYELLO!
Say hchello to ma liddle fren.
(and my pyjamas :) )

Dear...you guys.

Yeah I can explain.
I apologise for not blogging for like the last...however many months but its Lent.
No, I didn't give up blogging for Lent and no I'm not even Christian.
But i DID give up facebook youtube and msn. And without facebook my blog is nothing. I may very well be writing to a humble unresponsive webpage and nobody else. *crickets*
So excuse my negativity, but the bottom line is, I really didn't think anybody would be reading and also, I was just plain lazy. You may be asking a few questions from here:

1. Why on earth would you do that to yourself.

2. So why did you decide to write now?

And my answers would be:
1. Hi my name is Joanne and I'm a facetube-aholic.
I really wanted to challenge myself, see how disciplined I was. I thought I may as well try it out while other people are giving up their luxuries. I've done a good job of not giving in, especially the youtube thing...thats...thats been heart wrenching.

2. Often things that happen during my day make me really want to blog and think back on my day so going without it wasn't really doing any justice.

I'm beginning to hope no-one is reading this jibberish.

No, but seriously, giving up Facebook has made me realise how dependent I am on it to socialise. I'm barely staying in contact with people outside of school which quite frankly didn't come as a surprise.
I find myself in situations where I think " Hey this would be a good status"
I found that I need to communicate only the things of utmost important considering its not so much at my fingertips.
Facebook less life has taught me a little in the last 30 odd days. Really enriching stuff.

I made chocolate cupcakes today :) My nephews helped!

I went to the milk bar this evening to get some milk and OJ and made a striking revelation. Both sleazes and hotties come out at weekend sundown. On my way there a I came across a whole lot of sleazes and to my surprise a few hotties. See, I'm used to the sleazes but the hotties were a nice change.
As long as there's a balance between the two, I'm satisfied. I did a little strut with my milk on my way back, replacing the usual slouched crawl.

Oh P.S - I cut all my hair off (see above).
